About WebDollar
WebDollar is a cryptocurrency fully native to the World Wide Web, built around the concepts of simplicity, lightness and portability.
Started in April 2018 with the release of its mainnet, it has its own blockchain technology and moved gradually from Proof of Work to Proof of Stake, being 100% Proof of Stake since July 2021.
After a first forced double halving, halving mechanism has been updated to happen every 1,576,800 blocks, so about every 2 years (with an average block time of 40 seconds).
